Fowler, Fowler UMC
Haun, Milton Mars
This series contains the handwritten correspondence and journals of Milton Mars Haun, a circuit preacher who came to Kansas in 1857. He served in the Kansas, South Kansas, and Southwest Kansas conferences and preached the first sermon in Newton, Kansas in a saloon. In total, Haun served 15 churches in Kansas and died in 1902.

Hiatt, Truman Neal
The papers of Truman Neal Hiatt are housed in two 5” document cases. The first contains unpublished materials he authored. These include a book of daily devotions, a memoir of his travels through Europe and Israel in 1957, and two books of poetry. The second box contains copies of the items in the first box and two folders with sermons, Kansas Conference records, and photographs, plus more sermons typed and stapled into a scrapbook.
Holbert, Marien
This collection contains the papers of Marien Holbert, a female Methodist pastor who lived and worked in Kansas.
James Griffing Papers
A collection of personal letters of Methodist minster J.S. Griffing from 1854-1868 relating mostly to the settlement of Kansas and methodism during this time, with reference to the continued conflict known as Bloody Kansas. This collection also includes supplmentary materials on Griffing and documents relating to the creation and matinence of the collection itself.
Jamestown, Jamestown UMC
Records related to the church go from 1881-2012. The church disaffiliated in 2021 but did not send many records post 2012.
John Henry Deering Papers
This collection contains the diary of John Henry Deering, an early Kansas settler. He began the diary in 1856 in Maine. There is a break of one year, then the diary resumes in the Kansas Territory in 1858. A transcription of the 1858 section is included.
